    Take Advantage of Tomato Season

Tomatoes are king come August. I tend to just slice them up for tomato-mayo toast, but when I'm feeling more inspired here are two great recipes that highlight ripe tomatoes:

Grilled Bread Panzanella with White Beans
This summer panzanella highlights heirloom tomatoes with grilled bread, torn mozzarella, herbs, and hearty white beans for an easy side or main.

Three servings of the salad on wooden plates are arranged over a black surface with tomatoes, herbs, and grilled bread.
Baked Gnocchi with Sun Dried Tomato Cream
Tender gnocchi are baked with a sun dried tomato cream, spinach, and cherry tomatoes and topped with a crunchy and cheesy breadcrumb topping for a delicious main or side dish.

Find Delicious Recipes for Cucumber and Melon

Cool, refreshing cucumber and sweet, juicy melons are perfect for beating the summer heat. Cucumber makes an appearance in dips, salads, poke bowls, and salsas all summer long. We snack on melon and serve it as dessert, but a fancied up melon salad is great for a potluck barbecue.

    Greek Salad Dip
Here is a refreshing dip for pita chips, bursting with flavor and crunchy texture from cucumbers, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and olives.

Add Stone Fruit to Sweet and Savory Dishes

Once peach season hits, there's nothing better than a perfectly ripe peach (eaten over the sink if it's really juicy)! Stone fruit like peaches, nectarines, and plums can be so delicious in both sweet and savory meals.

Nectarine and Blue Cheese Pizza with Thyme
Sweet and salty, herbal and savory, this Nectarine and Blue Cheese Pizza with Thyme is flavorful and easy to throw together with pre-made dough or pita bread.

Try Great Recipes for Peppers, Beans, and Zucchini

Once the farmers market gets rolling with all of the summer fruits and vegetables there is no shortage of bell peppers, green beans, or zucchini and other summer squash. You can typically source these ingredients all year round, but nothing beats the flavor of local, seasonal, super-fresh produce.
